PMC 65th Anniversary at the Cottage

June 15 - June 16

Free

PETERBOROUGH MOUNTAINEERING CLUB

65TH ANNIVERSARY

The PMC was founded back in 1954 which means that 2019 is our 65th anniversary.

What better excuse for a party?

So we are designating the June (15th-16th) meet at the cottage in Wales ‘PMC Party Time’.

Everyone is invited of course, young and old.  We particularly hope that some of our ‘older’ members will treat this as a bit of a reunion and make the effort to come along.

It will be a DIY party. That means you are expected to bring along something to eat or drink that we can all share. You probably have a favourite food or a ‘signature dish’ that you are an expert at cooking that you are willing to share. It doesn’t have to be fancy:- even bread, cheese, biscuits, crisps are welcome.

If we all bring our favourite food then we are certain of plenty of variety and to have vegetarian or vegan dishes from those that want them.

(note to all:- please label your dish with all its ingredients)

An Anniversary cake will be provided, to be cut by the longest standing member present, and a few bottles of Buck’s Fizz will be opened to toast the occasion. We may even think up a few Party Games.

So please put this date in your diary now June 15th – 16th PMC Party at the cottage.  The party will be on the Saturday evening. During the day we may attempt our traditional ascent of Tryfan by its variety of routes climbing, scrambling and walking routes.

Clive is meet leader for this event and wants to encourage as many as possible to attend. Please let him know that you are coming, website, e-mail, phone, FB.  The more that say they are coming the more will come.

Cheers.
